buGGedDown - 2009-10-10 06:30:46 the PSU may not be supplying enough power to the hardware or the power good signal checking fails.
PSU might be the main problem here...
ek 5 - 2009-10-10 06:32:35 One of two things is the problem, either the power supply has gone bad, or one of the other components in the computer has started drawing more current than it should, and the power supply can't supply it.
DaveEC - 2009-10-10 06:54:02 Take it to a repair shop. If you are lucky it only needs a new power supply.
digitbite - 2009-10-10 07:24:11 you probably need a new power supply donnt do it yourself. its very dangerous because even if the cord is not connected, power supply has voltages charges in it. it is not like changing a RAM or a CPU.
if your old computer a little old maybe you want to get new battery for the BIOS.
Good luck!
just visiting - 2009-10-12 21:11:39 yep. power supply. they do fail
try getting one at your local used computer store if you dont want to spend the 60.00 plus for a new one. it has to be one that will fit in your case tho. maybe get one that supplies more wattage than the one you are replacing.
I find them at thrift stores all the time, too, for like, a buck
